Doors open at 7 pm.
This Healing Service is held Thursday evenings and is open to the public.
We do request that you attend a Sunday public service prior to attending a Thursday healing service, especially if you are not familiar with our Sanctuary or Spiritualism. This is to ensure your comfort during the evening.
Our doors will be locked at 7:30 and remain locked throughout the service to prevent outside disturbance. We also request that you remain for the entire service. Lights are dimmed during this service.
Saturday Public Spiritual Healing
Spiritual Healing is offered by appointment or drop-in. If you wish an appointment, please call 383-1012.
Healing is open to the general public, and is by donation.
Time 10:30 am to 11:00 am.

Our healers will have a booth at the Victoria Health Show, January 24 & 25. This is located in the Victoria Conference Centre. Come by our booth to receive Spiritual Healing and ask questions!

This evening class is for those who wish to explore their intuition, psychism and, for those who have the ability, mediumship.
Intuit Friday is no longer a drop-in class. Due to the strong demand and to facilitate further development, students must register and commit to this class for a semester. However, there may be some 'open' classes throughout the year that will permit drop-in students.
Please call 383-1012 or 383-2293 if you wish to be notified of drop-in Intuit evenings, or to place your name on the wait list for this class.
The 2009 Winter semester begins on January 9 and ends March 13.

Join us for coffee and ideas! This is a forum for the discussion of any and all issues of a philosophical nature. Feel free to raise questions about why, where and what. Discussion may cover Spiritualism, spirituality, psychology, literature or any discipline that provokes thought and conversation.
Doors open at 6:45 and the discussion begins at 7 pm. Please enter via the garden gate to the Lower Hall. Coffee, tea and treats will be served!

Martha’s Yoga
If you are curious about yoga but have never given it a try, now is your perfect opportunity. Yoga classes will be held on Monday evenings in the lower hall from 5:30 – 7:00 (5:30 – 6:30 when other events are taking place). We will be working at a beginners pace and you will be taught how to integrate the practice of yoga into your everyday life.
Dates: Yoga resumes in February.

Martha began practicing yoga in 1995 and quickly realized its power to bring balance and wholeness to the body and mind through asana practice, meditation and breath awareness. Her view is that yoga is for everybody and she is passionate about being able to share her knowledge in an atmosphere of compassion, caring, fun and joy.
Her primary goal is create a space in which each student has an opportunity to explore their individual connection to body-mind-spirit, that may lead to inner calm, strength, balance and self-awareness. She has had an opportunity to teach over the years at many retreats offered by the Inner Quest Foundation as well as classes offered at the Open Door Spiritualist Sanctuary and in other centres in the Victoria area.
Martha completed her teacher's training program at Moksana Yoga Centre in the summer of 2008 and looks forward to the continuation of her journey and exploration of yoga through further study and through her teaching.

Free evening lectures on Spiritualism
We invite you to investigate and gain knowledge of Spiritualism by attending these discussions and lectures on the different aspects, aims and objectives of the religion and philosophy. You will also learn about the Open Door Spiritualist Sanctuary and have an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on Rational Spiritualism.
For those who have been attending services and investigating Spiritualist philosophy, and decide to become involved further in the organization, we cordially invite you to enquire into the steps towards becoming a Spiritualist.
These are sequential lectures. We therefore request attendees begin with the first evening.
The February 2008 series has concluded.
