over 30 years. During this time he has developed an international
reputation as a foremost Canadian medium, as well as a leading
lecturer on spiritual and psychic science and empowerment.

and his natural demonstration skills. Together with these abilities,
Brian's down to earth, tell it like it is approach to working on the self
has made him a much sought after teacher and speaker.
Over
the years, Brian has accepted many of the innumerable invitations from all over
the world to address issues related to spiritual awareness. Frequently
a keynote speaker, Brian has shared his wealth of knowledge on a broad range
of topics with people from a diversity of social, cultural, religious, philosophical
and educational backgrounds.
Brian is also a skilled teacher. People with a variety of different interests and experiences, from students of the intuitive arts and post secondary graduate students to teachers and medical professionals, have learned and developed through Brian's teaching and received the benefit of Brian's education and expertise in the self help and intuitive fields.
Throughout his career, Brian has worked for a number
of organisations internationally. He
became the first Canadian instructor at the
Arthur
Findlay
College
in 1995. Because of the breadth of his knowledge, other organisations have
called upon him to teach in disciplines tangential to his own. Brian also does consulting work for a number of groups, both religious
and secular, offering his knowledge and proven techniques for working
on the self and on altered states.

When Brian is at home in
Victoria
,
his focus is on that which encompasses his personal philosophical and religious beliefs: Spiritualism. Brian teaches, demonstrates and ministers
at the Open Door Spiritualist Sanctuary where he has held the position
of senior minister since 1991.
The Open Door traditionally has been a teaching sanctuary, a tradition
Brian has embraced and continued with zeal.
He sets a high criterion for all of the Open Door's educational programmes, challenging
and surpassing the standards currently considered acceptable. Under Brian's direction, all of the development
and training programmes offered at the Open Door are designed to draw
out and stretch the potential of every person who participates.
Among the programmes Brian has been instrumental in developing at
the Open Door is one intended for those seeking to enter the ministry. These students receive comprehensive ministerial
training, as well as an extensive education in all facets of Spiritualism.
Brian has also created research teams for the purposes of exploring
and studying all aspects of Rational Spiritualism. In
part, the research assists him in articulating the philosophy of Rational
Spiritualism and formulating guidance on the spiritual, moral and ethical
aspects of the movement. The
benefits of this flow not just to the Open Door Sanctuary, but to other
Spiritualist organisations as well.
Under Brian's direction and guidance,
the reputation of the Open Door Sanctuary has grown continuously. In
large measure this is a reflection of Brian's devotion to the Sanctuary
and his passion for the religion and philosophy it represents. Brian brings this same dedication and passion
to all of his work, from his public speaking and teaching to his writing
and demonstrating. It is these qualities, in combination with his skills
and expertise in the psychic and mediumistic field, that have earned Brian
worldwide respect and regard. ©
