Terri Woolgar first found Spiritualism in the late 1970’s. Her search deepened in 1991 after experiencing a health crisis. Between raising a family with all the challenges and joys involved, Terri began concentrated studies in spirituality and healing, becoming involved with several New Thought groups in Canada. This was partnered with alternative studies in body work. She worked with several teachers during this phase, attending many holistic conferences on spirituality, including numerous courses with the late Dr. Brugh Joy, in addition to later becoming a certified ‘Zero Balancing’ practitioner.
In 2001 Terri came ’home’ to the Open Door Spiritualist Sanctuary. From this time she has participated in all aspects of the Inner Quest Foundation’s development and philosophy programs. A dedicated Spiritual Healer, Terri also found time to volunteer at the local hospice, plus within the many aspects of the Sanctuary.
As part of her ongoing training in the Open Door’s ministerial program, Terri completed her studies in Humanities at the University of Victoria, focusing on religious studies and philosophy. She enjoys research and writing on aspects of Spiritualism and Spiritualist history, and has published several articles in circulars. Terri is a speaker and chair at the Sanctuary, and also lectures with a special interest in Spiritualism as the catalyst to move society forward. She facilitates classes for the further education of individuals seeking to embrace the religion of Spiritualism.
A course organizer for various groups since 1994, Terri assists in retreat/course organizing and administration at the Open Door. She finds joy seeing the magic of unfoldment within participants of the IQF courses, as they discover and open to new possibilities.
Terri brings the Open Door a solid weaving of her inspiration and enthusiasm for Spiritualism, augmenting the organizations educational resources. She feels that building ones holistic understanding of Spiritualism and its many facets including personal healing, along with developing aspects of sensitivity and mediumship are lifelong endeavours that cannot be separated one from the other. To that end, Terri continues to pursue all forms of development within the Inner Quest Foundation, ever striving to serve the spirit in excellence.
