The Sunday community service at the Open Door incorporates the main tenets of a Spiritualist service: spiritual healing, an address based upon Spiritualist philosophy and, at the conclusion of the service, a public demonstration of mediumship.
The Sunday service is our most popular community service and continues to grow in reputation. The Open Door Spiritualist Sanctuary has been profiled in news pieces and in magazine articles both locally and abroad.
Vision TV featured our Sanctuary in the 2007 Enigma documentary entitled “Spiritualism: The Fox Sisters”. We regularly have visitors from afar who have heard about our reputation and high standards of education.
Some of our local people travel three hours every week and others regularly travel for even longer periods of time to be a part of this service. The Sanctuary does at times fill to capacity. We therefore suggest that you arrive slightly early to find your seat. Our doors open at 10 am and the service begins at 10:30. There is no entry after the service commences. The aim of the service is to offer an approach to spirituality
through the dynamic philosophy of Rational Spiritualism, encouraging and
assisting each person who enters the Sanctuary to reconnect with his or
her spirit and with the Divine, to take action to heal the self and to
enjoy the unfolding experience of one’s transformation. ©
