Take a Hike – Connect! Rejuvenate!

Join with community as we connect with Spirit of Place on a guided hike with our team leader and naturalist, Caren. Take a rejuvenating and informative few hours away from your wifi and cell phones and give yourself the gift of calm, clarity and creative thinking. Rebalance your nature in Nature!
All ages, all abilities and dogs on leash are welcome.
Directions: From Victoria take the Pat Bay Highway to the Wain Road turnoff. Follow Wain Road over the highway overpass and turn right onto Tatlow Road. Follow Tatlow Road a short distance to the park entrance on Willow Road.
Carpooling is recommended.
Hike Details : Horth Hill is rated as a moderate hike, with several trails meandering through forested areas towards the summit. From here we will enjoy views of the surrounding inlets and islands. We will stop for a break and snack along the way. The trail is just over 2 km and takes about 1 to 2 hours for the round trip to the summit and back.
Washrooms are available at the parking lot.
The actual length of time will be determined by the pace of the participants.
What to Bring: We will take a short breaks along the way over the duration of the hike, so bring a lunch or snack, bottled water, beverage, etc. Bring a walking stick and camera if desired.
Wear: Comfortable and sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather, rain or shine. Dressing in layers is recommended for this type of activity. Wear a hat and bring sunscreen if necessary.
